Collection of photogrammetric imagery

Photogrammetric imagery is collected at both random and fixed sites. The images can then be processed into 3D coral models, from which various data can be extracted. Starting in 2024, coral demographic data was exclusively collected in this manner. Structural complexity, bleaching, urchin, and corallivory estimates have also been extracted from photogrammetry models with funding from other CRCP projects. More photogrammetry community resources are available on LAI-NETWORK (How-to documents, Training, and more).

How to download and use our data

Raw imagery is archived with NCEI, and is accessible for download by request via OER portal. Both imagery and products are also accessible via NODD Google Cloud Bucket (send requests to nmfs.pic.credinfo@noaa.gov). For non-NCRMP data extracted from imagery, see the NCEI collection for SfM-derived data.
